This series of portraits, called "Created Equal," are very beautiful and incredibly thought provoking. I always find portraiture inspiring because it's something I'm not gifting at creating myself. Nonetheless, these are very beautiful images.

I love Richard Haughton. He does awesome food photography but also great product, fashion, and portraiture photography. Check him out.

These are some really beautiful long exposures of the stars documenting their paths in the sky. Super neat...

Typology is something new that I'm working on in class so it's leading me to explore artists who do this type of work. Ryann Ford is a primarily commercial photographer who has begun to do personal work focusing on typologies.

I find this series of portraits to be interesting because it's so personal to photograph someone while they sleep. I know I could never do it because I would feel like I was intruding too much but I still find them inspiring. I also like them because I have a personal fear of sleeping in public and find it fascinating how people can sleep where they do.

These are pretty brilliant landscapes created with a technique called "timestack" which results in painterly strokes in the sky.

Double exposures seem to be all the craze right now. I really enjoy them. I like this slightly different style...

Richard Tuschman

Richard Tuschman, a fine art photographer, has taken Edward Hopper's paintings and transformed them into photographs. I find these images to be really beautiful but also a little unsettling. He actually creates the images by making a miniature set and dropping the models in later in photoshop. I think these are really wonderful examples of super awesome compositing!

These are by far some of my favorite textural food photographs. I love the way they take on a landscape feel.

Michael Wolf's architectural photographs have always been of interest to me. I love how he finds the patterns in the massive things we stare at everyday. It almost makes them seem small while you still appreciate their grandeur.

I'm always interested in how people represent everyday objects. Here is a photo of some color pencils in a glass that takes on a lovely color swirl that I get lost in.
